Moeldoko Yakin Insentif Mobil Listrik Lanjut 2025 di Era Prabowo image

The Chairman of the Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association (Periklindo), Moeldoko, is optimistic that government incentives for electric vehicles will continue in 2025 under Prabowo Subianto's leadership. According to him, this policy will not change under the new administration.

Currently, the government has provided various incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles, such as exemptions from the odd-even traffic rule in some regions, as well as reductions in the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Vehicle Title Transfer Fee (BBNKB).

At the national level, incentives include a 10 percent reduction in Value Added Tax (VAT), which has been in effect since 2023. Initially, these incentives were only valid for 2023, but they were extended into 2024 based on Minister of Finance Regulation No. 8 of 2024.

The regulation stipulates a minimum Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 40 percent, with the incentive period running from January 1 to January 31, 2024. If the Ministry of Finance does not issue a new regulation to extend it, the incentives will end this year.
