The MAGIC Battery, set to be produced by Wuling Motors in Indonesia, features advanced technology and high safety standards that distinguish it from other electric vehicle batteries. With an investment of US$ 500 million, Wuling is committed to developing the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. The battery is designed with a modular structure, making it easier to repair and replace components, thus improving efficiency and extending battery life while reducing maintenance costs.
The MAGIC Battery excels in safety thanks to its **Advanced Cell Safety** technology, which has been tested under extreme conditions. The battery can withstand impacts at speeds of 40 km/h, endure temperatures up to 180°C, and remain functional after being submerged in water for an hour or tested under vibration for 42 hours. Even more impressive, the battery does not explode when exposed to fire for 40 seconds, demonstrating a high level of safety for users.
This battery is also equipped with a cloud-based Battery Management System (BMS), allowing vehicle owners to monitor the battery's condition in real-time, enhancing security. The MAGIC Battery will be used in Wuling’s electric vehicle models such as the Air ev, BinguoEV, and Cloud EV. Although it will be produced locally, Wuling continues to collaborate with Gotion to maintain component quality and ensure the battery meets global standards.
